Church of Christ
Bagdad Church of Christ is located just south of Bagdad Village’s Historic District and is nestled in among beautiful Live Oaks draped in Spanish moss. The church dates back to the late 1920s and early 1930s when Brother J. C. Hollis of Pensacola held his brush arbor meetings here in Bagdad. The early members soon made plans to erect a building on a plot of land donated by the Bagdad Land & Lumber Co.
The original church was a wooden building with one room and was used until the end of World War II. Since that time the building has been renovated and expanded to the present brick structure. Today Bagdad Church of Christ is an independent body of believers that proudly wears the name of Christ and welcomes the public to come and worship. Visit their website at www.bagdadcofc.org/.
